The Collagen P.I.N.® (Percutaneous Induction Therapeutic) is an FDA Cleared Microneedling Device designed to transform skin tissue through use of an advanced 36-PIN needle system – delivering unmatched control and more favorable treatment results for microneedling practitioners and patients alike.

This advanced system contains more needles than any other device on the market which deliver micro-injuries to skin – promoting the body’s natural healing response and revealing visible transformation to the treated area.

In a clinical study to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of Collagen P.I.N.® as a treatment to improve the appearance of facial acne scars, 91.3% of participants reported satisfaction with treatment results.

How it Works

A topical serum is applied to clean skin (we use EXIOEfor this, a plant based stem cell) to help the Collagen P.I.N. Safety Micro-Needle Cartridge glide smoothly across the skin’s surface while creating thousands of micro-channels every second, which helps stimulate the skin’s own natural healing process, while simultaneously delivering the stem cells – the building blocks for healthy new skin.

Your practitioner will select the appropriate needle depth and number of passes required to properly treat your concerns based upon your individual skin health and skin regimen.

The Collagen P.I.N. Safety Micro-Needle can provide “flawless” results on all skin types in the following areas:

• Face
• Neck
• Decolletage
• Hands
• Arms
• Legs
• Abdomen
• Back
• Scars
• Stretch Marks

FAQ's

What is Collagen P.I.N.?

How Many Sessions Will I Need?

(Percutaneous Induction Needling, also referred to as PCIT, Percutaneous Collagen Induction Therapy… a.k.a. micro-needling)

Collagen P.I.N. is a method of introducing a controlled wound into the skin triggering a release of growth factors, new collagen & elastin. This process causes much less damage to the epidermis than dermal rolling or lasers and other ablative treatments, which helps to protect the new skin cell growth, providing for quicker healing and a much higher success rate.

Typically a series of 3-6 Collagen P.I.N. treatments is recommended, depending upon your area of correction or concern. Your skincare professional will ultimately determine a treatment schedule based on your individual goals and desires during your complimentary consultation. Treatments are usually performed 4-6 week apart. Patients with deep wrinkles, advanced sun damage, stretch marks, or any type of scars, usually require 6 or more treatments to achieve the desired results. Your provider can suggest pairing the Collagen P.I.N. with another treatment for faster results, depending on goals/desires.

  • Décolletage

  • Back

While Collagen P.I.N. is safe for most people, there are a few people that cannot receive the treatment along with a few that will need precautions.

Women who are pregnant or breast feeding are not candidates for the service.

Those who have gotten keloids in the past will have to be evaluated in person to determine if they are a good candidate.

Anyone with uncontrolled diabetes also is not a candidate due to delayed healing times and risk of infection. Controlled diabetics usually do quite well with the procedure.

What will I look like after my Collagen P.I.N. treatment and how much downtime can i expect?

How long will my Collagen P.I.N. results last?

Collagen P.I.N. is considered to have minimal downtime. Immediately after your treatment your skin will look slightly pink to moderately red. You may also have some swelling. Your provider will recommend skin care products for your post care based on your individual skin, which will greatly minimize these symptoms and enhance your overall results. We recommend avoiding any makeup and strenuous activities for a minimum of 48 hours after your appointment.

Collagen P.I.N. produces results through the stimulation of growth factors and collagen, thereby promoting new skin cells to surface. As our skin ages, our collagen production naturally slows down. Your overall result will last longer when using a custom built at home skin care routine given to you by your provider along with avoiding too much sun exposure and maintenance facials/treatments, all of which will be covered in your complimentary consultation. New collagen & elastin formation in the skin are documented as visually and measurably improved as much as one year after just one treatment. However, a series of treatments is typically needed for best results.

How long will it take for me to see results from my Collagen P.I.N. treatment?

Will the Collagen P.I.N. Procedure Hurt?

Most all patients see results after the first Collagen P.I.N. treatment, although individual results vary depending on individual skin health, age, and previous skin treatments. While it is common to begin to see true changes or positive results as soon as 1-2 weeks after the first treatment, your full results will take 1-6 months to see as the skin heals and continues to produce more collagen and elastin.

Prior to your treatment with the Collagen P.I.N., your provider will apply a strong topical numbing agent. Most people say they feel almost nothing or just vibrations.

Can I use Makeup after having my Collagen P.I.N. treatment?

What is the process of the application for Collagen P.I.N.?

We ask that you refrain from wearing any type of makeup for 48 hours. Mineral based tinted sunscreen that has been tested post-procedure is acceptable and suggested.

A new, sterile disposable needle cartridge containing 36 micro-needles is glided across the skin with EXIOE as the Collagen P.I.N. device that mechanically induces a micro injury to the desired depth chosen for your skin by your medical provider. The Collagen P.I.N. creates micro channels which allows topicals and serums to reach the true targeted areas, producing a much more efficacious result.
